Here I focused on the development of the second and third scenes of the animations and the transitions between the two. This involved having a new background dope over the top of the second scene and then having the text with the quote appear in the new scene over the top of the background. For this text I decided to use the same typeface to what I used for the title sequence of the animation which was ‘Run Wild’ and then made the quote appear in all caps so that the writing was clear for children to be able to read.

Here I began working on the transition form the third scene to the forth and having the quote disappear from the scene and then have the hands in the shape of a heart appear in the background before having my character appear on the screen and a few of the smaller hearts appear and be animated within the scene as well.

Draft test of Animation One
Here is the test draft of the title sequence and the subsequent four scenes that follow of my first animation. This test animation does not include the animated character, the narration or the background music but it does illustrate how the animation design and style will be through my animations and give a good idea of what the narrative will be like following the storyboards and scripts.

My next steps in the development for this animation will be continue developing the animations and to try and complete this first animation. I don’t aim to have the character animations or the narrative on the animation just yet but I want to try and have all the scenes laid out and ready for the importing of the animated character and have some gentle background music within the animations as well.
